Bitcoinovej Kanál ended as a distinct editorial brand on 8 October 2025, while the same YouTube channel continued as Kicom with broader technology and investing subjects. Its archive, CoinEspresso, podcast feed and legacy website and shop remain available; the publishing operation was not simply deleted.
Bitcoinovej Kanál was a media project centred on one creator, Jakub Vejmola, known as Kicom. It set no Bitcoin protocol rules, did not speak for the whole Czech community, and its popularity alone cannot validate a particular claim. Vejmola says he first heard of Bitcoin in 2011 and began studying it more seriously in 2017. Media profiles reported more than 86,000 subscribers in June 2022, nearly 100,000 in 2024, and more than 100,000 subscribers with almost 20 million views in October 2025. The project combined YouTube and Patreon revenue with commercial partnerships, speaking work and its own clothing and accessories shop. Kicom said he rejected offers to promote NFTs and dubious coins, but that is his account rather than a complete audit of every partnership. Kicom appeared at conferences including BTC Prague and delivered school or corporate workshops, becoming a visible participant in the Czech scene. On 8 October 2025 the video Konec Bitcoinovýho kanálu announced the change. Vejmola ended the narrowly Bitcoin-branded era and renamed the same channel Kicom to broaden its subjects; CoinEspresso remained, while regular Tuesday streams were paused.
