HCPP was Paralelní Polis's flagship event, not the whole organisation or a Bitcoin-only conference. The eleventh edition, Hardcore, ran on 4–6 October 2024 as the explicitly final HCPP; status checked 3 September 2026.
Hackers Congress Paralelní Polis named an annual event and its programme. It was not a synonym for the Paralelní Polis nonprofit, its Institute of Cryptoanarchy, the building or year-round activities; organiser, venue, speakers and each edition were distinct entities. The first documented edition ran from 10 to 12 October 2014 soon after Prague's Paralelní Polis opened. Later editions generally occupied the first October weekend and used HCPP plus a two-digit year, but exact dates and programmes must be read edition by edition. The core was a three-day English-language mix of talks, panels, workshops, art and informal meetings at 43 Dělnická and neighbouring La Fabrika. Organisers reported more than 500 attendees; that is an organiser figure for a typical edition, not an independently audited constant. Recurring pillars were freedom and cryptoanarchy, decentralised economics and cryptocurrencies, political art and hacking, science and technology. Bitcoin was prominent, especially in 2016, but organiser Max Hillebrand explicitly said in 2020 that HCPP was not a Bitcoin conference. Annual frames tracked current disputes: New Order in 2018, Digital Totality in 2020, Chaos in 2021, Last Shot in 2022, Resistance is Life in 2023 and Hardcore in 2024. A manifesto was a curatorial and political frame, not a measured conclusion of the conference. The seventh HCPP took place at Paralelní Polis and La Fabrika on 2–4 October 2020 while launching HCPP TV for remote viewers. The pandemic therefore produced a physical-online hybrid and livestream, not a cancelled or online-only edition; some summaries blur that distinction. Across editions, speakers included Timothy C. May, Andreas M. Antonopoulos, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Jimmy Song, journalists, artists and people with conflicting views. An invitation or recording does not mean HCPP, Polis or this Atlas certifies a speaker's facts, product or politics. The congress sold tickets, accepted partners and sponsors and was described at the time as a major fundraising activity for Paralelní Polis. Its declared state-free ethos therefore did not mean an event without commerce, prices, costs or private funding; each partnership belongs to a dated edition. The Paralelní Polis channel and edition playlists preserve dozens of talks, including HCPP20 and HCPP24. A video is primary evidence of what a speaker said, not automatic proof that the claim was correct or remains current; technical, legal and pricing details need fresh verification. HCPP24 Hardcore ran on 4–6 October 2024 as the eleventh and explicitly final edition. It was also the last HCPP in the original Paralelní Polis before the building shifted to Second Culture; as of 3 September 2026 no HCPP25 or HCPP26 is documented, and other events are not continuations without their own announcement.
