Bull Bitcoin is a service for buying and selling bitcoin. Imagine paying a dealer and receiving the bitcoin straight into a wallet whose keys you manage yourself. Under its European terms, Bull Bitcoin sells from its own inventory rather than matching customers’ orders. This direct form of trading is also known as OTC. Your own wallet gives you control over bitcoin once delivered; completing the purchase still depends on the service and the payment.
When you buy, you deal directly with Bull Bitcoin. You are not placing an offer in a list of other customers’ orders: the service is your seller and, when you sell, your buyer. You provide your own wallet address for delivery. European rules require exclusive control and prohibit third-party addresses. Once the bitcoin arrives, you authorize further spending with private keys, the secret data that allows it to be spent. That is why you need a wallet backup: recovering your exchange login will not bring back lost keys. [1] [4]
Different companies can operate under the same brand. In Europe, the relevant name is LEONOD SARL. France’s financial regulator, AMF, lists licence A2026-019, dated June 22, 2026, under MiCA, the European crypto-asset regulation, for exchanging crypto-assets for funds. This concerns a particular company and service, not approval of everything bearing the Bull Bitcoin name. At this review, the public European terms still contained older wording about an application in progress; the current record is in the AMF register. Before using the service, match the operator, authorized activity and your country. Canadian rules do not automatically apply in Europe. [2] [1]
Sending euros to your account for a future purchase does not mean you already hold bitcoin. The European terms record these prepayments and sale proceeds in the EUR Purchase Ledger. They do not treat it as a savings or payment account, or a general-purpose wallet. Deposits through SEPA, the euro bank-transfer system, must come from your own account. Unused prepayments can be returned to your registered account. Until the trade is complete, you depend on the service settling it; identity or suspicious-activity checks can also restrict access. This differs from bitcoin already delivered to your own wallet. [1]
When comparing an offer, look at the euros you spend and the bitcoin you actually receive. “No fee” alone does not mean a free exchange: Bull Bitcoin uses different buying and selling prices and includes a price margin, or spread, in its quote. Index Price is an indicative benchmark; Bull Bitcoin Quote is the specific offer you accept. An ordinary purchase quote remains valid only for a limited time. Express on-chain delivery, meaning a transaction directly on the Bitcoin network, may deduct a network fee from the delivered amount. A general rates table therefore cannot replace checking the final offer for your account. [1] [3]
Suppose you want to buy when the price falls below a chosen level. Buy Limit Order watches the Index Price. Reaching that level only triggers a conditional trade at the then-current Bull Bitcoin Quote, including the spread. The threshold is therefore not automatically a ceiling on the resulting price of the kind you might expect from a limit order elsewhere. Completion also depends on available euros, bitcoin inventory and service operations. If the prepayment is insufficient, the terms allow a partial purchase and cancellation of the rest. Before enabling the feature, understand what its limit actually limits. [1]
If you want to buy every month, for example, DCA provides recurring purchases for an amount you choose in advance. Autobuy has a different trigger: an incoming deposit. This matters when you only want to top up the euros in your account: turn Autobuy off before making the transfer. European terms also allow insufficient prepayment to result in a partial purchase and automatic DCA cancellation; adding funds alone will not restart the plan. You must reactivate it. Automation saves you from placing each order, but guarantees neither a future price nor continuous operation. [1]
Sending and confirmation do not happen at the same moment. The service may combine purchases into a scheduled batch transaction; after broadcast, it still needs to enter a block. Fast processing does not promise fast network confirmation. For European on-chain sales, the terms distinguish detecting a payment in the mempool, the set of transactions awaiting confirmation, from the single confirmation after which the euro payout is processed. Lightning, a network of payment channels built over Bitcoin, offers another way to make fast payments, but your wallet must be able to receive the particular payment. The public rates table and terms differ on network limits; check the rules for your account and trade. [1] [3]
BULL Wallet is a separate wallet application, not the exchange service itself. It also shows why holding your keys does not guarantee access to every additional service. When Boltz went down, some swaps—exchanges between payment networks—stopped working, while ordinary on-chain functions continued according to the announcement. The changelog for version 6.13.0, dated August 13, 2026, described a temporary replacement. A later announcement reports the restoration of Lightning payments and L-BTC-to-BTC conversions from October 20, 2026. L-BTC represents bitcoin on the separate Liquid network; the reverse BTC-to-L-BTC conversion was not available then. For L-BTC-to-BTC transfers, the operator requires a previously unused destination address. The old outage notice therefore does not describe every current feature. Check availability, limits and any refund against the specific version and transaction. [5] [6] [7]
