Privacy without small print

What Meridian 2140 stores, why it does so, how long it keeps it and how you stay in control.

Meridian 2140 uses no advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or automated profiling and does not sell visitor data. The analytics choice does not control essential site delivery or the external map.

Controller and contact

Controller: Meridian 2140. Send privacy questions, objections and requests to meridian2140@proton.me.

02

Optional first-party analytics

After consent, the browser sends its own server the visited page path, language, session identifier and referring page origin without credentials, path, query or fragment. The server stores only its hostname and derives the country code and device class from technical headers. The identifier is not used to track you on other websites.

Analytics aims to improve content and navigation; its legal basis is consent. Withdrawal stops further measurement, but does not invalidate earlier lawful processing or automatically erase records already received.

03

Retention

Cleanup removes visits and actions older than 30 days during the next relevant write or statistics read. Old rate-limit records are cleaned up intermittently as analytics operates. There is no separate timer: data may remain longer during inactivity. Aggregate editorial conclusions may remain without session identifiers.

04

Recipients and international processing

Recipients include hosting and security providers; data may also be disclosed when legally required. Global services may process data outside your country. The relevant provider supplies information about processing locations and safeguards; its policies are linked below.

Action measurement after consent

We also measure partner-offer clicks and opening Lightning support: action type, service, placement, page path, language and time. These records contain no session identifier or payment details.

Protection against abuse

The analytics server processes the IP address to limit abuse. It stores a derived hash in ten-minute windows with a request count; hashing does not guarantee anonymity. Visit and action records contain no full IP address, name or email. Hosting-related technical processing is separate.

Preferences and analytics session

Preferences remember your choices. Clearing browser storage removes them. If the browser blocks storage, your privacy choice applies only to the current document; analytics may use a temporary identifier without saving it.

  1. Cloudflare Workers and D1 deliver the site and store analytics. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and other technical request data for operation and security under its terms.
  2. Live data and price history are fetched through our own server, which contacts providers such as CoinGecko, mempool.space, Coinbase, Blockchain.com, ExchangeRate-API and Yahoo Finance. The browser does not contact these providers directly for that data.
  3. The embedded BTC Map may load automatically as you approach the map, without a click and independently of analytics consent. The browser connects directly to BTC Map and its map-tile providers. Their rules apply; the map data comes from OpenStreetMap.
  4. External and partner links open third-party websites with their own rules. A partner link may include a referral code. Meridian 2140 does not control processing on the destination website.
07

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object and withdraw consent. We may be unable to link a session record to a particular person. You can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or the relevant local supervisory authority.

Your current choice

Allow or refuse analytics using the privacy-panel buttons; later, Privacy settings at the bottom of the page reopens the panel. Refusal does not block public content and does not turn off the external map.

09

Changes

We update this notice when data practices change. Extending the purpose of analytics requires a corresponding new consent choice.
